As the name of my blog indicates, I spend a lot of time thinking about home. Of course, my Heavenly Home is the one that is eternal, so that’s where I need to lay up my treasures, and that’s the one I’m striving for. But in the meantime, I have been given this tiny piece of the here-and-now—this home on the edge of town, this family, this neighborhood—in which to serve Him. And, though this is in the earthly realm, I want the things that happen here to be investments in the Heavenly realm.

CeLeBRaTe!! {Day 6 ~ "Thus Far the Lord Has Helped Us"}

Have you been thinking this week about marking occasions as an Ebenezer?  I have!  (To read about Ebenezer on Day 2, click ~here~.)

And while I have been pondering, this song has been playing over and over in my mind. I have been singing it as I have washed the dishes, as I have driven the van, as I have dried my hair.

Won't you take a few minutes to listen to this version by Fernando Ortega and let it fill your heart?

"Thus far the Lord has helped us."

This is Day 6 in the series CeLeBRaTe!!  Click ~here~ to see more.

  1. I am so thankful that you opened my eyes to that. It is so fitting for so many life situations, isn't it?

  2. One of my favorites; but have not heard F.O's rendition before. Thanks. Our church has an ebenezer of stones with family's names inscribed.

  3. Oh I do love that hymn and I love that rendition, too. I have his cd. This week will be a birthday celebration and I am really going to enjoy the process of making it special.

  4. I love Fernando's version of this song! I love to celebrate - but I love the new idea too of "Thus far the Lord has helped us!"

    Beautiful focus!
